Breast Cancer Awareness Can Save Lives

Paint the Town Pink, a series of week-long community events to raise awareness of the importance of breast cancer prevention, detection, and treatment, will be held April 30 through May 7.

This year the action will take place in three Monmouth County communities: Red Bank (Pink Bank), Monmouth Beach (Pink Beach) and Fair Haven (Pink Haven). Join the cause.

According to the National Cancer Institute, for US women breast cancer is the most common cancer (nearly 200,000 new cases each year) and the second most common cause of cancer death (over 40,000 per year).

This fifth annual event is being conducted by Riverview Medical Center in Red Bank, part of the Meridian Health Family. Paint the Town Pink is a unique opportunity to integrate an important educational message into a woman’s daily routine as she shops and dines at the many businesses in town.
